It is important the surgeon doesn’t overharvest the area where the transplants are extracted leaving it overly thin and unnatural in appearance.

The number of grafts is not appropriate in relation to age and hair loss degree. A high number of grafts limits options for future surgeries. The donor can not be assessed.

Hair Line Aesthetic & Design

Doctors should design an aesthetically pleasing, natural and age appropriate hairline for their patient.

The design of the hair line is appropriate and natural for the patient’s age. A natural hair line has dominantly single grafts as in this case. The photos are sufficient for a final assessment of the hair line aesthetic and design.

Treatment & Method Appropriateness

The doctor should be able to assess the patient’s hair loss for the most suitable method, e.g. FUE or FUT.

In the present case it seemed to be that the FUE method is suitable. Especially for young patient it is necessary to combine the hair transplant with suitable hair loss medication in order to achieve a lasting result and stop the hair loss of the native hair. However, in the present case the patient is not taking any hair loss medication.

Density

In order to achieve a visual sufficient density usually 30+ grafts per cm² need to be transplanted.

In the present case the patient seems to have a natural and full density. The transition area of native and transplanted hair is undetectable. The transplanted grafts per cm² is appropriate.

The more involved a doctor is involved in the surgery process, the better the quality and consistency a patient can expect.

Because of the distance an in-person consultation was not possible. However, the clinic responded quickly to all questions. A call with a consultant was possible. The patient was informed of all risks and all questions were answered. The clinic communicated via Whatsapp and E-Mail.

After Care & Recovery

The first hair wash after the hair transplant was performed in the following clinic by the staff of the clinic. At any time in the months following the hair transplant the patient was able to have a digital consultation with the medical staff.
